BROCCOLI SALAD

Broccoli Salad

Nowadays everyone has become health conscious. And it is good to be healthy and maintained. If you are not fit and fine, how will you take care of your family? To stay healthy, we work hard… we stop eating oily and junk food, we work out and sweat out, go for a walk and we do so many things.

One of the easiest ways to stay fit is your proper diet plan. You should know the nutritional benefits of whatever you are eating. Accordingly, you maintain your diet plan and add protein-rich food, cut off carbohydrates and calories, avoid sugar-loaded food. Drink plentiful water.

I would like to share one of my favourite salad recipes, Broccoli salad. We all know how nutritional green vegetables are, so let’s get started with salads.

To make a broccoli salad we need the following ingredients:

Eat healthy, stay healthy… To stay healthy and live longer, is a challenge nowadays. Wake up early, walk in nature, sweat out and eat healthy.

Clean and rinse thoroughly all the vegetables before chopping.
4 cups broccoli florets bite-sized pieces
2 cups chopped lettuce
1 cup diced orange carrots
1 pint chopped halves cherry tomatoes
½ cup mint leaves
1 tablespoon coriander leaves
1 tablespoon olive oil
black pepper powder (according to taste)
salt (can also use black salt according to taste)
2 tablespoon vinegar

Procedure
Add all the above mentioned ingredients with the proper measurement in a mixing bowl. Close the lid tight and toss to mix the ingredients. Your salad is ready to serve.

Best time to eat salads
To increase vegetable intake, it’s good to eat a salad before your meal. Salads are the starters of the meal. Salads contain rich dietary fibre and increase a strong sense of fullness. You can also have a bowl full of salad when you are hungry to avoid a heavy meal.

Best way to eat broccoli

You can steam the broccoli and eat for your taste but the best way to eat broccoli is raw. You can add more vegetables to this salad like beetroot, capsicum, sprouts, cucumber and grated ginger. It is up to your taste.
